Candace worked tirelessly for years to change public attitudes, modify judicial behavior, and promote tough new legislation, and MADD is estimated to have saved over 600,000 lives. All this from a single, working mom who never went to college, had no experience in advocacy, zero financial help and…no internet. We can never know the pain of losing a child unless we’ve experienced it personally – Candace Lightner transformed this unspeakable tragedy into change that benefitted our world in a massive way. Thank you, Candy, for making our world safer.
